My Wonderful Husband
I didn't mention that I have a wonderful husband!
I don't know why I was so blessed to have this man in my life. Its a second marriage. We knew each other years ago in high school. I went out with him a few times but he was a quiet kid and I was not. (ha ha). He was real handsome but didn't go to dances or parties and I loved those things. He went into the service and then made his home in California.
I didn't see him for 32 more years. Can you believe that?!! I had married and had four beautiful children (wait until I start talking about them!) . My first marriage ended after 20 years and I was single for 8 more years. In 1982 he came back East for Alumni. He was here for three days and I ran into him at the alumni parade. --------
Well, anyway he stayed in town for three days and left to go back to California. We wrote letters and cards and talked every nite for four weeks at which time I decided to fly out there and marry him. What a wonderful decision that was. That was on July 30, 1982 and we just celebrated our Twenty Fifth Anniversary. I stayed in California for eight years and then we took eary retirement and came back to the town we both grow up in. We are still so happy and still so in love. Praise the Lord

I'd like you to meet my Maine Coon Cat, Kayla. What a little rascal she is. She was born on November 6, 2006. She already knows the word, NO, and GET DOWN FROM THERE. Isn't she a little doll baby. We love her to pieces. She can grow to anywhere between 25 and 45 lbs. OH NO!!!! I will keep you poster

Chinese girl
Chinese Paper cutting Designed by Diane Feng. Paper cutting is a tradional Chinese folk art. It is also a part of their cultural heritage. It is much harder than some of my cuttings. I do Scherenschnitte cuttings and also cuttings that are designed by Alison. Hope you enjoy this one of a little Chinese girl.

What is Love
Today as I read our local newspaper as I do every day, I came upon a Thought for Today. Its a quote from James Thurber, American humorist (1894-1961)
" A lady of 47 who has been married 27 years and has six children knows what love really is and once described it for me like this: " Love is what you've been through with somebody.""
We use the word "love" a lot in my family. I think we use it several times a day. A lot of my friends have mentioned that we say "I love you" a lot to each other. Well, I don't think we say it enough. I want my family to know that no matter what we have been through together, I love you "although" not "because".
Think about it and tell your family and friends, "I LOVE YOU!

A little about me
Hi Friends, . I have four grown children and ten grandchildren. I also have two great-grandchildren.
I sell on E-Bay sometimes. Its a great hobby for me. I also do paper cuttings with scissors and I make most of my own greeting cards. I will be sharing bits of news about my family and some bits of wisdom (hmm) from time to time. Also some humor as I sure do like to laugh. Well, I'll talk to you soon.
